It has been decorated deftly with an attractive pattern of sandy white waves, each on the point of breaking, falling one after the other in an unbroken circle. It has been coated with a vivid summer sea blue glaze.

Yet their memory pales next to the disarming down white pattern of hummingbirds on this flute. It is covered with a vivid sun-baked red glaze.

A number of evenly spaced holes runs along the length of this flute which has been lovingly made from clay. A gently sparkling stream coursing along the base of mountains soaring into the heavens, with tiny yet elaborately detailed pearwood trees covering their lower slopes, was stained onto it in moss green and storm-cloud grey with near unparalleled skill. A vivid battlefield crimson glaze coats the flute.
